James Johnson – Johns Creek – Certified Technician
“In my spare time I like throwing my Pitbull in the back of my Land Cruiser and taking him to the nature preserve.”
My name is James Johnson. I used to be called JJ because I grew up in a small town and there was another James in my grade. In my spare time I like throwing my Pitbull in the back of my Land Cruiser and taking him to the nature preserve. My first car was a Subaru Legacy, bought it with the money I saved up from doing construction in the summers of high school. It was pretty reliable till I parked it in the back of a Nissan Xterra.
I have been a technician at LexTechs since 8/1/2019. I have ten years of custom fabrication on Toyota/Lexus focusing mainly on building Land Cruisers for expedition and overland purposes. I did restorations (including frame-off) on every series of Land Cruiser manufactured from 1960 and up. Engine swaps, electric steering conversions, custom A/C installation, lift kits, bumpers/sliders, roof racks, winches, led light bars, roll cages, dual battery setups, methanol/water injection kits, TRD superchargers and factory turbo installations, were all pretty common jobs I would partake in.
